Content of the project; what is the application doing?
  • The main goal of the project was the conversion of the processing for credit card applications submitted in approx. 15 different countries from manual paper work to a web-based automated solution.
  • The application always proposes automatically the next possible processing steps.
  • The application is also communicating with third party systems being in-house or outside the customer’s premises; for example with creditworthiness reporting systems of credit agencies, card embossing systems, etc.
  • The application is designed modular in a way that new or changed requirements can be added at any time. For example new steps may be easily added and existing steps may be removed to/from the processing workflow as well as user rights may be adapted according to user competences to perform certain functions.

Content of the project; what is the application doing?
  • In the middle of the last decade it was decided to expand from the client server technology to a web-based solution written in JAVA.
  • The main goal of the project was the development of a central web-based credit card workflow system for processing customer-related cases from all countries for international and cross-departmental collaboration in Customer Services, Authorization, and Accounting & Collections.
  • It is specifically focusing in improving the efficiency of the daily work of the employees based in the headquarter as well as in all regional offices worldwide. The application is supporting multiple languages.
  • The application is communicating with all third-party systems needed in order to act as the one system providing or handling all necessary data like financial system data, card management system data or special data for the purpose of invoice printing.
  • The application is designed modular in a way that new or changed requirements can be added at any time. For example new steps may be easily added and existing steps may be removed to/from the processing workflow as well as user rights may be adapted according to user competences to perform certain functions.
